Ben 10 Theory: How Did Vilgax Get The Omega Beams?
After defeating the Highbreeds, we saw a returning Vilgax who had gotten much more powerful than earlier, who wanted to exact his revenge on his greatest foe, Ben Tennyson. He has conquered 10 planets by challenging their heroes and defeating them, thereby absorbing the powers of all the heroes he had defeated and becoming even more stronger than he already was during his quest for obtaining the Omnitrix from Ben.
Throughout his conquest, it was shown that he defeated Ultimos and then absorbed his powers. He acquired flight, ice breath and heat vision from absorbing Ultimos' powers. But during his fight with the Plumber Kids and with Ben, Vilgax had a different sort of Heat Vision as his Heat Vision could follow his opponent's movements just like Darkseid's Omega Beams. Hence, the question rises as to how he acquired an Omega Beams like Heat Vision. The Ben 10 franchise has never shown an alien that had this power, neither had there ever been a villain with such power.
There is only one possible answer to this,a that is that Vilgax obtained the Omega Beams by absorbing Darkseid's powers. Some may say that Darkseid and Vilgax are not in the same Universe or that Darkseid is too powerful, but Cartoon Network and DC Comics related animations and movies are both owned by Warner Brothers so they are technically in the same Multiverse, at least. Vilgax might have fought a less powerful version of Darkseid and defeated him and absorbed his powers, including the Omega Beams. Darkseid had been fragmented throughout the multiverse with each reality having its own version of Darkseid, so the Ben 10 Universe must also have a version of Darkseid who may not be as powerful as the conquering warlord, Vilgax, who most probably defeated him and absorbed his powers. This is the only logical answer as to how Vilgax acquired the Omega Beams as he never had such powers in his previous encounters with Ben, and it was clearly shown that he absorbed the powers of the heroes he had defeated, and Darkseid is the hero of Apokalips. Illogically, it could be just the writers giving Vilgax this power at random without it having any meaning, but there have been several teases of Ben 10 in the DC Comics Universe, so only time will tell if Ben will ever be included in the DC Universe.
